Transport

There are severe restrictions on patient transport. After referral by the General Practitioner the Surgery can book transport for the patient’s first appointment only at the hospital.

To qualify for transport a patient must be:

  • Medically unfit to travel by any other means, ie elderly, disabled, or learning disabilities.
  • The patient must also have no alternative method of travelling to and from Hospital.

Should there be follow-up treatment within three months, transport must be booked by the Clinic at the hospital before the patient leaves.
