Should you request your prescription to be sent to a pharmacy then you will need to allow 72 hours from request to picking the prescription up from the pharmacy of your choice; please ensure you state which pharmacy on each request you make.
Urgent prescription requests made by 10am can be picked up at 2.30pm, and requests made by 3pm can be picked up at 5.30pm.
Please only request the medication you require.
Priory Fields operates a 28 Day Prescribiing Policy.
Batch Prescribing
A system is in place which allows us to issue batch repeat prescriptions for medications which are taken long-term. These medications are those where the same amount of medication is used month in month out without any change. This will mean a batch of 3 or 6 months worth of medicines is issued by the surgery and this is dispensed on a monthly basis by the pharmacy. Please indicate on the rpt slip if you would like your medicines to be considered for a 3 monthly batch prescription, this will then be reviewed by the prescription clerks to confirm that your medicines are suitable for a batch prescription. 6 monthly batch prescriptions will need to be discussed at the time of review with you doctor.
Patients who find it inconvenient to order medication every 28 days may find this system helpful but not all medication or patients are suitable for the repeat dispensing scheme.
For other medications which are used in a less set manner for example painkillers, blood sugar testing kits, inhalers, insulin and warfarin the system used in the past continues where you will need to order them as required.
PLEASE TICK THE RELEVANT BOX ON YOUR REPEAT REQUEST IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MEDICINES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A BATCH PRESCRIPTION FOR 3 MONTHS
Help with Costs: If you are on two or more medications a month you would benefit from a pre payment certificate:
