Attached Staff

The following Health Authority attached staff provide support for the practice:

Community Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers

The Community Nurses, together with the support workers, liaise with the Doctors and provide nursing care at home; messages for them may be left at the Surgery when necessary.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors are advisors on childcare and family problems and can be contacted at the new Oaktree Centre, Sapley Square.

Midwives

The Midwives, based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, provide maternity services (both at home and in the Surgery) together with the patient’s own GP and the Obstetrics Department at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. They can be contacted via the Surgery if necessary.

Dietician

A dietician is available to see patients in the Surgery by appointment and upon referral from a patient’s own Doctor.

Physiotherapy Direct

Physiotherapy Direct is a project running from the Surgery. Any patient with a problem with the spine, joints or muscles does not have to see the GP first, but can phone on 01480 416092 between 8.30am—4.30pm Monday to Friday; details of the problem will be taken and advice or an appointment given as appropriate.
